FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper Guide
This guide is meant to assist in defeating bosses in Elite Dungeons. Elite Dungeons are unlocked by mastering the Classic version of each of the available levels. As usual the difficulty of these dungeons are typically relative -- for a well-leveled party with strong gear these will mostly be a cakewalk. Otherwise, expect a tougher time for an average battle party.
North Mines

| Boss Condition | Defeat Ymir w/o triggering its counterattack. |
Support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use lightning abilities like (Thunder Strike (Other), Thundara/Thundaga (black magic). You don't need to get a Champion rating on this boss, simply get a Champion rating on the previous stages to earn you a Master score. Just don't attack it with anything while the head is tucked away in its shell.
Abandoned Mineshaft

| Boss Condition | Def. Guard Leader before he uses Charge. |
Have a healer/support character, cast boost on your strongest attackers and have them go to town on Leader. Support units are healers. Gravity has also been proven to work on the Guard Leader, so use that to take him out quickly
Figaro Castle

Mt. Kolts

| Boss Condition | Exploit Ipooh's weakness to fire attacks. Defeat Vargas without being KO'd. |
With Aerith, use Seal Evil and you'll stop Vargas if you're lucky. Support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use fire abilities like (Fire Strike (Other), Fira/Firaga (black magic) to take out the bears. Dark Buster Vargas until he goes Blind then go to town on him with your strongest attacks. This is tough, if you can't win, you're not alone.
Imperial Camp

South Figaro Cave

Support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use ice or lightning abilities like (Water Strike/Lightning Strike (Other), Watera or Thundara/Thundaga (black magic). Healers should wait in the wings and be ready to heal when needed This battle will finish quickly.
Phantom Train

Healers should wait in the wings and be ready to heal when needed This battle will finish fairly quickly.
Esper Valley

| Boss Condition | Defeat Kefka without being KO'd. |
Have a healer/support character, cast boost on your strongest attackers and have them go to town on Kefka. Support units should be healers and don't forget to bring Blindna since Kefka is capable of Blinding your entire party.
Zozo

| Boss Condition | Exploit Dadaluma's weakness to poison atks. |
Equip your black mages with Biora and use that on Dadaluma to fulfill the boss condition. Once you've done that, have a healer/support character cast boost on your strongest attackers as well as mages and have them go to town on Dadaulma. Support units should be on standby and be healers.
Opera House

Magitek Factory

For Shiva, support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use fire abilities like (Fire Strike (Other), Fira/Firaga (black magic). For Ifrit, support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use fire abilities like (Blizzard Strike (Other), Blizzara/Blizzaga (black magic). They take turns in making an appearance so make sure you don't accidentally cast the wrong spell to be absorbed.

Floating Continent 1

| Boss Condition | Defeat Ultima Weapon without being KO'd. |
Bring Armor Break and it will be a great help if your White Mages have access to Haste. But the key here is Intimidate (Physical). Throw that at him, boost your party, cast Haste and hit Ultima Weapon with your best attacks.
Floating Continent 2

Mobliz

Equip your black mages with Biora and use that on Humbaba to fulfill the boss condition. Once you've done that, have a healer/support character cast boost on your strongest attackers as well as mages and have them go to town on Humbaba. Support units should be on standby and be healers.
Figaro Castle 2

Darill's Tomb

| Boss Condition | Exploit the Angler Whelk's weakness to fire. Def. Angler Whelk before it can use Gigavolt. Exploit Dullahan's weakness to fire attacks. |
Both Angler Whelk and Dullahan are vulnerable to fire, so make sure you bring a good supply of fire abilities. Support characters should boost attackers and/or black mages. For offense use fire abilities like (Fire Strike (Other), Fira/Firaga (black magic). You don't need to get a Champion rating on this boss, simply get a Champion rating on all the previous stages and that should give you enough steam to obtain a Master score at the end.
