You can't skip levels but if your previous game was linked to a facebook account then you can log in again and recover the progress.

I have the same issue every single time that ad pops up! I simply go out of the app, and then go back in and the ad is gone. As soon as I see it, I leave the game. Then I clear my cache and go back in. It’s a pain, but it’s pretty fast -probably faster then watching the ad would have been.
