It’s the first week of a new tournament and several people on our team already have crowns that take more than 50 stars to earn. How’d they do that?

Every season, the tourney crowns are a different “seasonal” style. I think the crown you won at the end of the spring tournaments will reappear and be the crown you start with next spring. Anyone who started the summer tournament with a summer crown must have been playing last summer. When the summer tourneys end, everyone will try to get autumn style crowns. And some may have crowns already, from playing last fall. I guessing this is how that works, but I’m not sure.

That can't be right! I had gained the top level crown in the last tournament and started the new one without a crown ... so starting from scratch. That was the same for a couple of other members of the team. 0 0 REPORT
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it! Some people had to start from scratch; some didn't. Some had crowns that then disappeared!
And the developers have so far declined to answer the question.

I noticed the same thing! My son started playing months after I did, and is far behind me in brilliance points and tournament points, but he started the summer tournament with a crown, while my head was bare...lol! I earned a measly 20 point summer crown during last weeks tournament, but it’s gone now??Guest Replied
I sent a note to support- they said that they showed the crowns of the other players from the spring cycle for the first week so you could see the previous levels obtained by your competitors Guest Replied
Could the crowns be from individual tournaments? My team leader and I both have crowns from individual (solo) tournaments that show up on our team pageGuest Replied
I've seen the same thing; some players retaining their crowns after the start of a new season. This seems to sort itself out after a week or so and they'll lose the fancy hat so I put it down to a quirk of the system.
