Diamonds are the premium currency in Travel Town, and if you've been playing for any length of time you'll know they disappear faster than you can stack them. The good news is there are plenty of ways to earn Travel Town free diamonds without ever opening your wallet — you just need to know where the game quietly hands them out and work out the best way to spend them to make sure you get the most out of your stash.
This guide walks through every diamond-earning method that actually works in 2026, from the obvious ones you're probably already using to a few you might be leaving on the table. I've stuck to methods I use myself and can confirm in-game, so you won't find any "cheat" claims or shady download links here — those don't work and will only get your account banned.

What Diamonds Are Used For in Travel Town
Before we get into the earning methods, it helps to know what you're saving for. Diamonds are Travel Town's premium currency, used to:
- Buy energy refills from the shop when you're out
- Unlock storage slots for extra items on your board
- Purchase special items, boosters, jokers and splitters
- Refresh the store for different items
- Open bubbled items ahead of time
- Skip waits on producers
When you initially start the game, you do get given a small stash, and initially, it's quite easy to grow your diamonds tally, but be careful, later in the game, you generally have to work a little harder to get free diamonds, so be sure not to waste any, and save them for moments that genuinely move you forward, like clearing the final stretch of a Weekly Goal, finishing a Travel Pass tier, or picking up a critical item in an event.
I also tend to use 10 diamonds most days to get 100 extra energy. I think that is generally a good value purchase and usually helps get me towards a goal or two. After the first daily purchase however, if you want to buy more diamonds worth of energy, then the cost doubles! So do watch for that. The energy chest in the shop for 24 diamonds is not too bad value either. But as with the energy refill, the price of the chest also doubles after the first purchase and you have to wait until the next day for the prices to reset again.
Complete Your Weekly Goals
Weekly Goals are a reliable source of free diamonds. Each week you get a fresh set of daily tasks that fill a progress bar, and clearing enough of them unlocks the top prize. As you play through the milestones you may unlock small diamond rewards, but usually the big prize at the end is often a stash of gems, around 100-350. Some weeks however diamonds do not feature as the end of week reward, but instead you may get something like a Joker card that allows you to pick any sticker you don't already have from the album.
Access them by tapping the Weekly Goals badge on your Main Board. The daily tasks range from basic merges to event-specific actions, and some will only be available while a live event is running — so don't leave them until the last day. The final milestone reward is typically a large diamond payout, and it's the single most consistent free diamond source in the game once you're past the early levels.
The trick here is ordering your play. Complete orders that overlap with your Weekly Goals and any live event at the same time, so one delivery ticks multiple boxes. It definitely pays to plan out a bit in advance and to look through the tasks for every day of the week to see what is realistically attainable or not, as to get the final reward you'll usually only get away with missing one or two of the daily tasks for the whole week.
One approach I've had good results with is splitting my play across two weeks. Use one week to set up your board with high-value merge items and save energy, then use the next week to plough through the weekly goals and events while you've got the fuel to actually finish them. I've tried this a couple of times and it works really well for bagging the bigger rewards.
Complete Daily Wins
As well as the weekly goals there are also daily wins separate to the daily tasks within the weekly goals. Some of these daily tasks give you free diamonds.
Unlock New Items for Diamond Rewards
Every time you merge or discover a new item for the first time, you can claim one diamond. Tap the collection icon to see if you have any free diamonds to collect. The reward sits there waiting until you claim it.
Complete Sticker Sets and the Album
There are some big diamond rewards available if you manage to complete a whole sticker album during a season. Some individual sets within an album also give diamond rewards too.
The card packs come from daily challenges, events, and Weekly Goals progress. If you're struggling to complete a set, try trading with other players to fill gaps.
Events and the Travel Mission
Live events in Travel Town nearly always include diamonds somewhere on the reward track. Many events have their own board, its own event energy, and its own milestone prizes — and the milestone chests further down the track almost always include a diamond drop.
Partner events can be a great way to get more free diamonds, but do pick your partners wisely because once they have been picked, you can't change them.
Merge Diamonds on the Board Before Collecting
Sometimes diamonds appear directly on your board as collectible items. The key thing here is not to tap them straight away — they can be merged just like any other item, and a fully merged diamond pile gives you far more than a single unmerged one.
Hold off, combine them as they appear, and only tap to collect when you've got them at the highest tier.
Level Up Rewards
Every time you hit a new player level, Travel Town rewards you with a package that usually includes energy, coins, and sometimes diamonds. Higher levels tend to include more diamonds in the reward pack, so any activity that earns XP — completing orders, finishing challenges, playing events — is indirectly a diamond earner.
The most efficient XP comes from big orders and event tasks, so stacking those with your Weekly Goals (see above) gives you the fastest level-up rate.
Fantasy Island Rewards
While Fantast Island is running, collect tokens to complete builds in this event. There are loads of great rewards to pick up, and some of the milestones include free diamonds.
Travel Pass Progress
The Travel Pass runs as a separate reward track that fills with "keys" earned from delivering orders. Moon Active occasionally runs contests on the official Travel Town Facebook page and other social channels, with diamond prizes for randomly selected comments or entries. The odds are what you'd expect from any social media giveaway — low — but it costs nothing to enter. Don't rely on this as a core strategy, but follow the official channels and take part when a contest lands.
Important: only enter contests run on the game's official verified social media accounts. Anything promising "free diamond generators" or "unlimited diamond hacks" is either a scam designed to harvest your login details or something that will get your account banned. There is no legitimate cheat or generator for Travel Town diamonds.

Earning diamonds is half the battle — the other half is not wasting them. A few rules we stick to:
