Added:

There are four game modes in Tetris Blitz. The first is Single Player where you must beat the scores of AI players and make your way up on the leaderboard. You get rewarded with coins here regardless of whether you win or lose, but a higher score means more coins. The leaderboard resets every week which means you get bumped back to the bottom of the standings in that time.

The second is Battle Mode where you get to compete with other human players online. In this mode, other players can challenge you by sending you a battle and you can challenge them back by doing the same. Players get to play a match separately on their device and the scores are compared at the end of each match and whoever has the higher score is the winner. Both players need not be playing at the same time though which means you can play first and wait for the other player to accept your challenge (valid for about two days), and the scores will be compared after the other person finishes playing.

You also get coins for participating in these matches. You need to spend one energy to take part in a match by the way. Although you can always instantly refill energy by changing the date and time on your device when you run low.

The third mode is Tournament where several players compete to snag the top three spots on the leaderboard. There are big rewards waiting for the top three finishers so you should really try to participate in these. Tournaments cost energy to join (which you can once again refill using the date and time trick above), and will be played with a set of special rules for a period of time (typically lasting between one to three days). The goal is whoever scores the most points at the end of the tournament wins, so if you have finishers to spare, this is the best place to use them in conjunction with power ups.

Game Modes

The last mode involves competing with your friends on Facebook so you'll obviously need a Facebook account (which you most likely do have) to play this one. I would suggest logging in at least once even if you have little interest in this, just so you can claim the 70,000 coins bonus if nothing else.
