Gamer reviews for TETRIS® Blitz
Race against the clock.
Developed by Electronic Arts, Tetris Blitz is the latest take for this timeless classic puzzle game. And at a small file size, it boasts rich content spanning four game modes of challenging, innovative and addictive gameplay.
The basic rules of the game has not changed in 30 years: bricks of varying shapes descends from the top of the screen for players to move about and manipulate, building towers and clearing lines by putting pieces in the right spots to score points. I too have memories of playing Tetris on a Super Nes building massive towers and anxiously waiting for the seemingly elusive long-block so I could score Tetrises. Tetris Blitz retains this same classic feel while having a good number of modern additions thrown in.
Players will have access to power ups and finishers to help score big points. These perks are bought with coins which are gained from completing matches (the amount of coins you get is relative to your score at the end of a match.), level ups, or by buying them from the in-game store with real money.
The major game modes include Single Player where you compete against AI opponents, Battle Mode which is basically online multiplayer where you compete against other players over the internet, and Tournament which is another online mode that involves matches with special rules and many players jockeying for the top three positions on the leaderboard.
And whoever manages to hold the first three spots at the end of the given time limit (typically lasting 1 to 3 days) wins big coins. In addition every match in Tetris Blitz has a two-minute time limit and players can equip themselves with a maximum of three boosters (power ups) plus one Finisher if any. These can be used for as long as the match lasts but depletes when the match is done. Each booster usually has three uses but a Finisher can be used once.
For a game of such small size, Tetris Blitz boasts vibrant graphics, catchy tunes (including an arranged version of the classic Tetris music). In terms of longevity, the game scores top marks and can last for as long as you want it to. But keep in mind that this title has in-game purchases with prices thst range from a dollar to a hefty 100 bucks. And since the game is free to download, there are ads that pop up after every few matches, which you may remove by buying the appropriate item from the in-game store.

I woke one morning to play my tetris and everything I had won and bought from the game was gone, millions of points and hundreds of power ups. Have been trying to contact tetris or Amazon with no results. I have paid for most things lost. Who took them ? I am left high and dry with nothing but verification that I played 600 hrs for nothing. I keep sending inquiries , no replys
