Maru is a girl that you'll see often working in her personal lab at home, she's also one of the available bachelorettes in Stardew Valley. On this page, we'll be taking a look at the gifts that she likes, as well as her daily schedule. We will also see how you can trigger her heart events.

What Gifts does Maru like?

In Stardew Valley, there are items that are universally loved, liked, neutral, disliked, and hated. However, each character also has specifics that they want and don't want. The list below shows the specific gifts you can give to Maru.

  • Loved Gifts: All Universal Loves, Cheese Cauliflower (Cooking: Cauliflower x1, Cheese x1), Miner's Treat (Cooking: Cave Carrot x2, Sugar x1, Milk x1), Pepper Poppers (Cooking: Hot Pepper x1, Cheese x1), Rhubarb Pie (Cooking: Rhubarb x1, Wheat Flour x1, Sugar x1), Battery Pack, Cauliflower, Diamond, Gold Bar, Iridium Bar, Radioactive Bar, Strawberry
  • Liked Gifts: Copper Bar, Iron Bar, Oak Resin, Pine Tar, Quartz, Radioactive Ore
  • Neutral Gifts: All Universal Neutrals (except Truffle), All Eggs (except Void Egg), All Fruit (except Blackberry, Crystal Fruit, Fruit Tree Fruit, Salmonberry, & Strawberry), All Milk, Chanterelle, Daffodil, Dandelion, Ginger, Hazelnut, Leek, Magma Cap, Morel, Purple Mushroom, Wild Horseradish, Winter Root
  • Disliked Gifts: All Universal Dislikes (except Battery Pack, Copper Bar, Gold Bar, Iridium Bar, Iron Bar, Oak Resin, & Pine Tar), Blackberry, cOmmon Mushroom, Crystal Fruit, Maple Syrup, Salmonberry
  • Hated Gifts: All Universal Hates (except Radioactive Bar & Radioactive Ore), Holly, Honey, Pickles, Snow Yam, Truffle

Easiest Gift: If you don't have the patience for gathering ingredients for cooking, Maru can easily be gifted by giving her Cauliflower each time. The rest of her loved gifts might be hard to get at first. Another good option is to give her liked gifts such as the Copper Bar which can be obtained from the furnace by smelting copper ores.

Maru's Heart Events

Heart Events are cutscenes that you can watch for each character if you are able to reach a specific heart level. In order to trigger the cutscene, you need to be at the proper place with the correct heart number. The list below shows the places you need to be for Maru's heart events:

  • Two Hearts: Visit Robin's shop while Maru is there
  • Four Hearts: Visit the Clinic while Maru is there
  • Six Hearts: Visit the mountain on a sunny day, between 9:00 pm and 11:40 pm.
  • Eight Hearts: Visit Robin's shop while Maru is there
  • Ten Hearts: Visit Robin's shop between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm
  • Fourteen Hearts: Visit the farmhouse between 6:10 am and 5:00 pm (except Sunday and Winter), then visit the Mountains between 10:00 pm and 1:00 am on a sunny day.
