Thatch Foundation
The first structure you will ever see since the first thing you are told to do is climb onto your raft. This is the most basic foundation you can create. It is also the weakest when it comes to defense against infected and the shark. It is easy to craft only requiring Thatch that floats on the water.
Boat
The Boat is an essential structure that allows you to go to nearby islands to scavenge for more resources. At the time of writing, there are currently no additional upgrades to the boat.
Thatch Wall
A Wall made from thatch that can be placed on the sides of tiles. Meaning that they won't take up space that is used for other useful structures. At the time of writing, there seems to be no reason (besides aesthetics) to put up walls.
It would be nice to make a structure but having a wall would just get in the way of intercepting attacks. If they are used for defense, you shouldn't be allowing the infected to go on your raft in the first place.
