Breathe New Life in Casual Gaming with Pyramid Solitaire Saga

Following the success of candy crush saga, Pyramid Solitaire Saga enrolls every bit of the winning formula that you'd expect from any King (developer) released game - the aesthetics, massive content, grabbing mechanics, and of course the addictive trait. Accompanied by strong marketing, multi-platform availability and the solid reputation of the developers, the game easily secures a place among the popular games available out there.

Pyramid Solitaire Saga is a puzzle game that is influenced by the mechanics of the card game Solitaire. Pertaining rules that were borrowed from the original card game are the limited pool of cards from where you pick a card, and the arranging of cards by their manner of progression. In this game however, several additional sets of rules have been implemented to promote entertainment, fun, interest and of course, the extra handful of challenge.

The initial levels acts as tutorial levels from which, the game gives you the basic concept and underlying goal or mechanics in order to beat the game. Generally, the task is to reach through the targeted golden cards which usually sit at the bottom of stockpiled clusters of random cards. The current card picked up from the main pool of cards per succession of turn will act as the point of reference for the sequence arrangement. From that point, you will have to sort the cards from the top most pile, progressively arranging them – following the mechanics of a solitaire game until you clear the table or reach the specified golden card/s.

Few twists are also introduced in the game later on to influence a positive approach over the chances of beating the levels of the game. Case in point is the Joker card which replaces any card as the point of reference to sequence the arrangement. Another addition to the mechanics later on is the blue pool to which you could send a card to idly wait for a chance to be used. A golden scarab also spurs out of nowhere whenever you clear a target card. Tap it to earn additional points of 250 if you’re aiming for the three stars on that level.

As a free-to-play game, it also implements a familiar movement penalty system as in many of King’s games. In the game, whenever you fail to complete the level objectives, a penalty of 1 point of action (heart) will be deducted to your movement points. A total of 5 points of action can be deducted at total (every time you fail a stage) and each deducted point will take a specific amount of time to restore.

Gold bars are the premium currency in this game as they are used to purchase the boosters to help clear a stage. Booster items like the additional 5 set of cards to add to the main pool, joker card, mummy card generally helps you clear the more advance and harder to beat levels. As the gold bars are hard to acquire in-game, they are prompted over the in-app-purchases shop for those in desperate need of it.

All-in-all, Pyramid Solitaire Saga is yet another addictive treat for those eager for these types of casual gaming. Solid game mechanics, polished visuals, vast levels and its addictive charm makes it nothing short of the expected quality of game coming from its top rated developers. For gamers indulging of competitive gaming with the benefits of achievements bragging over the social media, there is a lot to like here.

I enjoy playing wish we had more games in a row. Candy crush is giving some days that you can play all day. Not just you 5/6 in a row.
