Per usual, what you have here is the Rock-Paper-Scissor of Elements innate in role-playing games.

Phoenix (fire) is strong against Griffon.

Griffon (wind) is strong against Wyrm.

Wyrm (earth / nature) is strong against Leviathan.

Leviathan (water) is strong against Phoenix.

Take the reverse route and they are their weaknesses.

Crisscrossing elements retain its base value, no added effects. E.g., Phoenix vs Wyrm, Griffon vs Leviathan.

Neutral effects everything at a plateau, and also receives everything at a plateau.
