When an item has reached its maximum level and can not be merged anymore is it a good idea to sell it? A rare item will ask if you REALLY want to do that, but what else CAN you do with it besides sell it?

Sometimes you will get an objective for a max level item. usually at the end of a set of quests. If you have room on your board it can be helpful to save it, but if you dont have room then selling it is fine too
