What is the Dwarven King?

This is a dungeon level that basically you have to inflict as most damage as possible within a time limit in order to win equipment and green gems.

You can then use these green gems in the Traits menu, which you can find after tapping the slime icon on the main game screen. Traits are further buffs that will strengthen your hero.

To use these green gems you tap on the change button and this gives the traits a respin. Any that you like you can lock with the icon to the right of the trait.
