Yes. The parking space in your supermarket equates to the amount of potential foot traffic that you can attract for every set period of time. The higher you upgrade it, the greater the number of customers arrive at a time which also means increased volume of sales for you -- given that you have the capacity to serve them all at once.

What this means is that the only time you’ll have to increase your parking capacity is when you feel that your supermarket can accommodate a bigger chunk of people at a time -- like if it is already opened for a period of time, and your checkout counters or even the departments themselves do not generate a queue of people. One good method to test/gauge whether you need to improve your parking is that if you are not forced to use the “Instant Check-Out” or the one that makes cashier speed faster bonuses, it means there is not much traffic inside your supermarket.

However, you should also be mindful about not just going about upgrading the parking space (despite how cheap it is) without balancing the capacity of your supermarket to accommodate customers.
