How to gracefully forfeit a game?

Top left corner little star like settings symbol press it and then click forfeit

Works for me every time.

You can disconnect by exiting out of GR and then start game again as far as I know. Works for me

Except that disconnecting makes your opponent sit through the countdown. Better to either forfeit, or just snapshot the ball quickly on your turn if your opponent is about to sink it on the green and you have no chance. I've done the former with a smiley and a 'Good Game' to let them know I was aware I had no chance.
