What does the Sun statue do once it’s on the home island please?

I have sun statue for many days. It does nothing

My statue has one of the symbols blinking. That tells me certain events will trigger other symbols then get some kind of reward.

Other sites say that as you complete more island and bring back their totems that the rest of the lights on the statue turn on and then something big happens. But they did not say what.

I actually had that totem on my island for at least a month and they gave me a certain amount of energy. Now I just need to know if it’ll do it again or not.

I've returned all totems, all lights around sun statue are lit, nothing happened.
