In the forge is the option to ascend a weapon to go to the next skill level of the weapon. I have several 4 star weapons and a 5 star weapon. I cannot ascend any as the message states not enough ascension materials. But does not state what materials are necessary? If you select the plus sign on materials, you get the message you can only ascend 4 star weapons if you are trying a 4 star weapon, or the message states 5 star if attempting a 5 star weapon. It would ba nice to increase these weapons or the game has a major flaw. And getting help from the game site is useless to this issue.
You can only ascend with unequipped weapons. So, if all of your weapons that you’re wanting to sacrifice for ascension are currently being used by heroes, start by removing them.
Every time you ascend a weapon, the amount of materials required for the next time increases. For example: the first time you increase your 4-star weapon from lvl 30 to lvl 40, it will cost one other 4-star weapon. When lvling from 40 to 50, it will cost three 4-star weapons. The same goes for 5-star, although I believe the increase is only from 1 to 2.
There are materials you can purchase from time to time that act as a wild card, meaning you can use it as ascension material instead of sacrificing a weapon in your roster.
