Why do I keep getting this pop-up - Pick up where you left off?

Why do I keep getting this pop-up - Pick up where you left off? Then I have to select ‘Device Save’ or ‘Cloud Save’, then click USE THIS SAVE, then another box pops up saying once I’ve selected it will ‘overwrite’ and it cannot be undone! This is the only way I can keep playing! It won’t swipe up and disappear, there is no ‘X’ to delete or cancel the screen! Extremely annoying and very persistent! Every few seconds!

You can turn one of your devices off and you do not see this.

Is there a way to disconnect it from the other device without turning one of them off?
