When Star Rush appears I don't play Wordscape until the following day when the tourist over. I've lost too many points. It's frustrating and no advice helps. Star Rush has ruined the fun from playing.

Star Rush pushes you to cheat by using an anagram solver. When you switch to the solver the timer stops so there’s no penalty for doing it. Star Rush destroys the game by adding anxiety to an otherwise delightful mental challenge. Guest Replied

I refuse to play under the pressure of the Star Rush tournaments. This has zapped the joy from this leisure game. I refuse to cheat. If I can't think of a word I can usually walk away for a bit and come back with dress eyes and usually get it. I do the daily puzzles and then play Word Connect for the rest of the weekend! You only lose the bonus points for that game, hit ‘lose points’ and save your coins for helps etc. Play slowly, so that the star rush isn’t triggered. Very relaxing. Play fast so that you always get points. I’d rather relax.

You can turn off star rush by just not accepting your winnings from the individual tournament. After tally is finished, just don't click on the individual tournament button - ignore it - the next week you will be in team tournament mode only, you will still see the star rush timer but the star rush interference and delays are all gone.Guest Replied

When did you contact support and they took off Star Rush? I wish there was a date on this comment. When I contacted them, weekend of October 23, 2021, they replied that there’s no way for them to take it off. They are apparently in some sort of a “test“ period and they can’t do anything about it. Which of course is nonsense. I am not playing this game during tournaments until they get rid of star rush. I’m sure they don’t care.Guest Replied
Agreed - they told me there is no way to take it off - but I did find that by not collecting the winnings from the invididual tournament, I can play in team tournaments starting the following week and there are no slowdowns because of star rush. It's not a big deal - just ignore the individual tournament - don't click it under any circumstance, and you can play the team tournament at full speed again.Guest Replied
I have tried and tried to get rid of star rush - never click on it - support told me they can't get rid of it - it is amazing that they added a point accelerator that basically helps faster players beat less experienced and newer players even worse than before. If you lose a star rush game, the next time you play you’re no longer timed. But if you complete a puzzle within three minutes then you’re back in the timed series where you get extra star points for completing a puzzle in the allotted time. I don’t think you lose any points for not completing a puzzle in three minutes, you just don’t get the extra stars.

People losing coins, you just click on Lose Coins if you don’t make the time and the game will continue and not take your coins. If you press the option above that you are saying to take 100 coins for the extra stars. So click on the bottom choice that says Lose Coins if you run out of time. It not bad if you get on a roll and keep adding 6 stars to your score. If you run out of time then it starts you back at the beginning getting 1 star. Guest Replied

I think the instructions are fairly clear at the end of the game if you do not finish in time to get the extra star rush points, it says this: TIME RAN OUT +4. Save you Star Rush or you’ll lose your BONUS STARS! Then there are 2 options: Green button: SAVE BONUS 100 (coins) - means it will have cost 100 coins, I think to save 4 FOUR extra bonus points!
Other option, Dark red button: LOSE BONUS - click that and you do not get the 4 extra points for your Individual tournament, but you also don’t lose 100 coins.

To stop allowing Star Rush to steal your coins.
When Star Rush appears on your screen, hit your home button and turn off. Turn back on and double click. When Wordscapes is showing, swipe it up. Now go back in and restart Wordscapes. Star Rush will read “Rush Off”. When it appears again, repeat the process.
It’s a pain, but you won’t lose more coins!!!

The way to get rid of it is after the tally is finished on the individual tournament, just never click on the individual tournament button - you can continue to play in the team tournaments and you will find no more interference from star rush. The timer will still appear in your team tournament but star rush slowdowns are gone. The individual tournament is pretty much ruined now anyway, so it is nicer just to play in the team tourmanent without all the interference.Guest Replied

I bypass Star Rush by not 'tapping to collect' stars, but it slows me down from the tournament. You can contact support by clicking the wheel like feature at top left. You will then see a support feature. I hate it, too. They did give me back my 4,000 points thatGuest Replied

You will only lose coins only if you press the save coins button when you run out of time on a star rush cycle. If you do not press the button you will not collect the extra star rush points, but none of your coins will be taken. Each time you run out of time and save the extra points 100 coins will be taken from your stash. Do not push the save button, click no and continue to play as normal.

If you have an iPhone minimise the screen. This stops the timer. When you have a word un-minimise then put in word then minimise again. So on and so forth. Easy

Tier 1 players get 1 Colin, Tier 2 get 2 minutes and Tier 3 level get 4 IF you finish within 3 minutes. For tier 3, if you don’t finish in 3 minutes you lose up to 500 coins. If you opt out of the tournament, then you lose all bonus stars. This is CRAP! Especially since no rules were given at the start. Considering dropping Wordscapes altogether. Guest Replied

Person who said you don’t lose points unless you use them for hints is wrong! The rest of us all experiencing the same thing: when forced to play Star Rush, if we don’t finish on time, it deducts coins. Apparently the workaround is after the game when it says “don’t forget to click here to collect your bonus stars” you have to click No or else they charge you hundreds of hard-earned coins! But this is NOT EXPLAINED so of course we all click yes to save our stars. It’s a ripoff designed to force us to run out of coins and buy more.Guest Replied
