Does the team leader ever communicate with the players?

It depends on the team. Some have a lot of communication and social interaction. Others will have none. If your team is not socially active and you want that then you will need to leave and look for a better fit.

It actually depends on the team you choose to join! I went through 25 different teams (no exaggeration) until I finally found the team I am on currently! Other teams the leader was nonexistent just as well as the players! So keep switching teams until you find an overall decent team. Team Leader is suppose to be monitoring teammates (making sure they actively play during tournaments) and set team rules. Set a minimum amount to score during a tournament or else booted from the team. Stay active in the chats and consistently give helps to teammates and ect. The team leader of our team is perfect lol. But definitely took a while to find it!!!! Lol goodluck!

Be a member of our team and you will experience interacting with diff people but work as one. Our leader is the best.

I can't speak for other teams since I only joined one team since I joined tourneys. Join our team so you will experience hows it like to be in Team with an awesome leader and teammates. We're just not teamies but we become friends eventually.
