I have the same issue. Seems like no one gets answers from Wordscapes to explain. I enjoy the game but don't get the rules. I'm going to stop playing on the weekend because I do not like losing hard earned points! Ha!

I just googled this exact same question! I had over 7000 points, dropped back to 0. I built back to 1000 points, dropped back to 0. I don’t understand Guest Replied

I noticed when I played in a tournament that I went from 24800 pts to 700 Now several games later earning pts I am a little over 500 but was back to 400 pts before I finished. I have played for a few years. I am on game 7768. Really crazy but I do not use those points ordinarily. Guest Replied

Yes I noticed this too. Except soon the same old point loss happens. I was so excited I had 3400 and next thing I had 2000. Guest Replied
Same thing happened with me. At first I selected save stars, saw that l was losing points so I started selecting lose stars, that worked for a while then started losing points anyway. How do you play without losing points that you’ve already earned?Guest Replied
Put your phone on airplane mode while you play. You won't lose points and you won't get annoying commercials.Guest Replied
