Two weeks ago I won the wordscapes tournament with 9000 points.
Last week the winner had 20000 points. It wasn't the total points number that surprised me; the speed that they got to 10000. I know you could hand the phone off to other people to work on the game while you sleep; but getting to 10K in less than a day seems next to impossible.
Is it possible that an automated computer system is playing the games?
There is no way that the top scorers in the star tournaments are not cheating. They go up too fast and too far.
As of right now the player names “Rolanda” has to be cheating. The point accumulation is way too fast to be actually solving the puzzles herself. This is the second player I’ve seen putting points up at unrealistic speeds. They have to be using some type of cheating program. They couldn’t possibly be typing in answers this fast evennif they had the answers on another screen.
Yesterday the person who was in fourth place one hour before the tournament closed had 2,306 points. He earned those points within the first half hour of joining the tournament, which was already suspicious, and then didn't play until the last hour. In the last hour, his score suddenly shot up to 9,012 points. 6,706 points in an hour. That is impossible without cheating.
For any skilled player, they are higher than level 20,000 and anything like that would slow it down.
If there is cheating going on like that, they aren't putting up thousands of points per hour.
It could be someone cheating. But, l also think it is possible to reach 10k in under a day if someone has paid for the ads to be removed and they are really practiced in the game. I don’t have ads removed, so I’d literally have to play ALL day to get to 10k. You can go much faster without the ads I know because when you play offline they don’t bother you. You used to be able to play in the tourneys offline but they’ve updated the game so that you can’t participate in them now unless you are online. Regardless, 20k is a rare score to see. I’ve been playing this game for 2 years and I’ve never seen a score that high in a tourney. The highest I’ve ever had was 9500 which is plenty enough to get 1st. Rarely would you see someone go higher but l think l have seen a score over 10k at least once before.
I have been playing nearly constantly since the tournament started and have got approx 8500 points. The person above me has got 14000 more than me. How have they managed to do this? I am sure that they are cheating big time, not just checking a few words here and there.
It also makes it deflating when your newish team are trying to compete, but then you have an older fuller team come along and drop you down the board.
I am forever praising my team members and try to give them a nudge to do a little push.
I just wish that there was a way of removing people from the team that joined ages ago and have not played since. This would free up space for other people who do actually want to play the game in a team.
There are web sites that show the answers for every level. You can then enter the answers on your screen without having to take the time to figure it out yourself. If this frustrates you just play the levels and the daily puzzle and skip the tournaments.
Myself and 3 of my team members have scored over 30k in the team weekend tourney (which with start bonus ends up being over 40k in the individual tournament).. A score of 40k by a team member is possible with no sleep, which also makes 50-60k possible in the individual tourneys.. Anything above 60k, I would definitely question though!
Also there is an option to buy brilliance bonus for some players. For example one player on my team admitted she gets a 50% brilliance bonus for every puzzle she completes. Impossible to compete with and unfair as this option is not available to all players to buy
I routinely get over 20,000 in my personal tournament snd my high score was over 32,000. A team member scores 60,000+ in tournament play. I have fast hands and a high IQ(sorry, I’m really not trying to brag). I think in the 2 years previous I’ve lost -came in 2nd-twice out of 104 tournaments. I love the game and do not believe in cheating of any kind. I’m a weekend player and ranked #11 in my state for all time. Fast hands make a difference as well as recognition.
There is a thing called “Point Dumping” in Word Scapes and it is very frustrating to people who play the game ONLINE.
Point Dumpibg is caused by players who go off line and play throughout the week accruing points while offline.. then when the Tourney rolls around on the weekend.. they will then go Online and Dump
their points which they gain all of the perks and their score adds up exponentially. It’s not cheating to go offline but it’s cheating all the way around in my opinion. This is why you see many team with freaking high scores!
There is obvious cheating going on in the Wordscapes tournament this weekend. One player has over 3600 points just 3 hours in. Thankfully, this doesn’t happen often, and the majority of the players compete fairly. One weekend a few months ago, we had a player with over 25,000 by Sunday morning and over 35,000 points in the end. The usual tournaments are won with 7-10,000 points
3600 in 3 hours is nothing. My personal best is over 30K and I've had teammates put up over 50K (which would be over 60K with star rush,
Cheating
I can get 10k points in under 6hrs, nvr cheated. The game has max 7 letter words & only 6k diff puzzles; even those aren’t completely diff letter wheels. Sooooo much repetition. Just practice during the week & it shouldn’t be long before you’re scoring 1k points an hour & up. There’s a 10yr old that scores 3k an hour and English isn’t even their first language.
