I keep putting items in my suitcase and they keep disappearing because the ice cream freezer keeps appearing in their place instead of (or as well as) being in the new equipment section of the suitcase. Anyone know how I can stop losing my saved items?

Are you checking under the correct tab? Recently, the game updated so most items are in one, then the next is things like the ice cream maker/ freezer.
My default tab is regular items.
Though why some producers go there too I have no idea.
I've yet to lose a single item. Try a screen recording and email support is all I could say
