How do you move something to the top?

How do you move something to the top? (Where the tool boxes came from) I've done it twice without realizing how, does any know how to do this on purpose?

You have to have your board full with an auto producer producing you put the item you want to move up next to the producer, then sell the item, then reverse the sale. The auto producer fills the hole so there is no place for that item to except up top
