Any way to get rid of top level items you no longer heed like picnic basket, sand bucket, luggage, museum audio guide? You can't sell these but as you get to high levels you have tons of these you no longer need.... Taking up space.

I've never found a way to delete them; I store them in my inventory or push them to the edges of the board.
Trick to create more space:
With your board full, put an item you want to store next to an auto producer, sell the item, then immediately reverse the sale. The auto producer fills the hole so there is no place for that item to go except up top in your new item inventory.
