The Girl in the Window Part 3

This is Part 3 of our guide to The Girl in the Window, a creative escape room mystery story game from Dark Dome. The game begins with the story of an abandoned house where a mysterious murder took place 20 years ago. The crime was never solved. You enter the house, but now you are trapped.

Note: many of the puzzles will have varying solutions, so codes in your game can be different from the ones shown here. The method to find the solution for you will be explained.

In Part 2 you have just found a metal rod, now turn to face the front door again.

On the left is a loose floorboard. Use the metal rod on the board to lift it, then collect the floorboard.

Look inside the hole in the floor and collect some garlic.

Next turn to the right to view the wall with the TV.

Tap on the bottom of the cabinet on the right and use the key with the oval handle to open the left door. Collect a bowl.

Now you can move back to the view with the boarded up door and view the mouse hole again. Check the notebook again for a clue to catch a mouse.

Place the bowl on the floor and then add the cheese to it. Then add the small board as a ramp for the bowl.

A mouse will appear and enter the bowl. You can now tap on it to catch it.

Move to the left to the view with the TV. On the left is a pipe with a crack in the bottom left. Tap on the crack to view some eyes and then see a key inside.

Add the mouse to the hole in the pipe on the upper left. The mouse will enter and push the key out of the hole on the bottom right. Collect this key with a hexagonal handle.

Next view the bottom of the cabinet on the right again and use this last key to open the right door.

Collect a screwdriver and a bottle of wine.

Turn to the the view of the boarded up door. Then tap on the picture of the vampire on the top right.

Use the screwdriver here on the right to remove 2 screws and open the picture to find a locked safe. You need 4 symbols to open it.

To get the combination we need to follow 2 clues. For the first look in the book for the vampire image and you will see that we need 4 items. Garlic, cross, goblet of wine, and a mirror.

You also need an order, for this turn to the view with the armchair and view the note board on the wall.

Tap each of the papers to lift them and see a symbol behind them. For me this showed Mirror (top left), Cross (top right), Garlic and Goblet (bottom right). The symbols in your game can vary but you need to follow what you see from top left, top right and then bottom right.

Now return to the image of the vampire on the wall, make sure the panel is closed so you can see the vampire. Combine the wine in your inventory with the goblet to get the goblet of wine.

Now use each item in the order you found on the vampire picture. You will see a symbol appear for each. These will vary for you.

Once you have the 4 symbols in order open the panel again and enter the 4 symbols into the combination.

The safe panel will open and you will find a lever inside.

Tap the lever and you will see that the front door now opens.

Tap the door to make your escape from the house, but as you step out you find the truth about your presence at the house.

The girl in the window is your sister, and you are a ghost of the house just like her.
