What will happen if I don't supply the meat and water in the feeding grounds?

If you do not fill the feeding grounds then it will drop your ant population down from the maximum by around 30%. The only side effect to this is that it will lower your efficiency in your resource production buildings (eg meat, sand, honeydew etc). So your production rates will be a little slower depending on the levels of your buildings.
