How do I stop the notifications on my phone when the game does anything?

Tp the power number in the top center of the screen to open the Player info screen, then select 'Settings'. Go to the 'Notification' option. You can turn of the general notifications about building, research etc. And there is also a separate setting for when you are being attacked.
