Top Answer

Try using your pick axe on the red or tan colored stones that stick up out of the land. Shorelines are easier to find the sandstone

Yellow rock gives sand. Its common near shorelines.

Red rock gives you stone and clay.

On aboriginal island (top right island) there is a mysterious stone that gives you sand or clay
