Collect flags from the banner events and tournaments in order to win points to complete laps to win the three races in this event.

On day one when the event starts, team up with three other players to create a team, or go solo, then over the following three days compete with your team against three other teams by using the flags you've won by playing Monopoly Go, to propel your car around the racer track, collecting milestones rewards as you go.

In each race your team will accumulate medals based on their finishing position. Whichever team wins the most medals by the end of race three and the event, wins the grand prize. The other teams still get rewards too, based on where they finish. Usually the final race is double medals, so do be sure to save some flags for that importnat third and final race.

If you don't want to race as part of a team, there is now a 'Race Solo' option. You can find it at the bottom of the event page, just click the option and confirm it on the page that comes after. You can still change your mind back to being part of a team before the team up phase ends. If you choose to race solo you will be matched up against other solo players and your rewards will be different.

Snow Racers rewards

There are a number of ways to get rewards in Snow Racers. Firstly, by completing laps. On the race board there is a map counter which tells you how many laps until the next milestone, then when that is reached your whole team gets a mini vault from whcih you can select your choice of rewards from the two or three options given. Usually these can include stickers, dice, a boost event, or more flags.

  • First place - Snowmobile board token, wild sticker, purple sticker pack, emoji
  • Second place - Purple sticker pack, blue sticker pack, emoji
  • Third place - Blue sticker pack, pìnk sticker pack, emoji
  • Fourth place - Yellow sticker pack and green sticker pack

Be aware however that this event can be a dice killer as it can really fire up the competitive spirit in some players and before they know it they have spent far too many dice. So do decide before you get started if you are trying to win, or just want to play through some milestones and use up your flags.

Remember, there are always other events coming along that may give you a better return for your dice used such as a normal partner event or a dig for treasure event.

Snow Racers Medals

Each individual race will give you the following number of medals according to your teams final position in a race. In the final race however, the medals you get from that race are doubled. So be sure to save a lot of flags for that important final race of the event.

Race Position Team Reward
1st 10 medals
2nd 8 medals
3rd 7 medals
4th 5 medals

Race solo or part of a team?

Whether you race solo or be part of a team I guess will depend on whether or not you really want to win the wild sticker and are ready commit any extra dice to help your team pull through to that number one spot.

Racing Solo

The rewards for winning the team event are a lot better than those for the solo version of the event. If you've just recenlty completed your album, you may be better off electing for the solo version of the event.

Here is a recap of how to play racer events on Monopoly Go. Do head over to our Monoply Go forum if you are looking for partners to play this event with.

Snow Racers strategy and how to play

This event is split into four stages; team building, match making, race events, and championship. Lets take a look in more detail about each of these four event stages.

Team Building

Just like in previous partner events, you need to team up with a number of players, this time three other players in order to form a team. While you may think it is a great idea to align yourself with the best players in your friends list it may also be the case that the game matchmaking system considers net worth when pairing your team up against three other teams.

So looking for active and committed players is probably going to be more important than finding the biggest high rollers in your friends list.

As always, a great place to start looking for people to join you in Snow Racers is our Monoply Go forum, there you can find a great bunch of players of all sorts of levels, everyone is welcome, so please do drop in and say hi.

Unlike other partner events, in Snow Racers you can leave your team during the team building phase and try to enter another one. If you don't have a team by the end of the team building phase then you'll be allocated to a team. Likewise, if you have open slots in your team a random player will be assigned to your team. Good luck with that 😃

To build your team you will have both suggested team ups and also you can search your friends list too. You'll also be able to see the time the player was last online which may give you an idea if they are still active in the game. Just like in previous partner events you can send requests to team up, and players can send requests to you too.

Team building is for the first 25 hours of the event.

How to join in a Team in Snow Racers

  • Joining or building a team in Snow Racers is a lot different other partner events because if there is a player you want to team with but they already have one or two partners in their team, then you will be joining those players too. This is unlike other partner events when you could just select from individual players.
  • You can still do this via the search for friends bar at the bottom of the build your teams page, just if they already have team mates, those team mates will becomes yours too!
  • Like in other partner events you can send requests to individual players, but if they are already in a team, then that request goes to their whole team. Same if a friend sends you an invite, then you will not just be joining your friend but their whole team if they have one.
  • You can see the status of any team requests as the whole current team is located within the same request block and you can choose to accept, deny, cancel etc... the whole team.
  • If you make a mistake you can leave a team before the start of the first race, just tap the red exit icon in your avatar on the event page.

Collecting Flags

During the team building phase you may also notice that you can also collect flags. Flags are the event token that you need in order to score points in Snow Racers. You should see some on the game board during the event but there are other ways to get flags in the game.

  • Tournaments and banner events

Check out which tournaments and banner events will be running during this racer event by heading to our all events schedule. Fomr there we link to the milestone lists of each individual banner event and tournament so you can see if you are close to getting more flags or not.

  • Quick Wins

While Snow Racers is an active event you'll get flag rewards in Quick Wins. Complete the three daily quick wins to not only get flags but to get more steps closer to the final weekly prize. On the day of the start of Snow Racers, consider not completing your Quick Wins until Snow Racers has started in order to get flags in Quick Wins on the first day. If you complete Quick Wins on reset but before Snow Racers has started, then you won't get flag rewards.

  • Shop Gift

As you probably know, there is a free gift every eight hours in the shop. When there is a special event running such as Snow Racers, you should find the relevant event token, in this case flags, as part of the those free rewards. If you don't know how to get them, then basically hit the three lines, tap on shop and swipe that top shop block over until you get to the last panel which shows the free shop gift or countdown timer to the next one.

  • Lap completion milestones

When your team completes laps you'll eventually pass milestones, when you do, your whole team will get the milestone reward which may include more flags.

Race Stage

After the first 24 hours of the event starting, the race stages will commence. Now is the time to start your engines and start hitting that dice popper with the flags you've earned. Set the multiplier to a number you are comfortable with and slam that dice popper in order to get points in this event. Look out for the race timer countdown, this will tell you when the race ends. Just be aware that at least one member of your team should be around in the final hour or so because a lot of races are won or lost in the final moments as people try to snipe for that last minute win.

Hit the dice popper to get points

As you play through each race you'll reach lap milestones which will give you some rewards to choose from and at the end of the race your team will get medals according to their final position.

In the final race of the event medal rewards for that race are doubled, so do save some flags for that important last race.

Soon after the next race will start, and it is the same process again.

Whether you are aiming to come 1st in the current race, or just second and to conserve flags for the next one. Our Monopoly Go forum forum is a great place to start a thread for your team to help manage your race tactics.

Championship Stage

The final rewards are now distributed to members of each team according to their team's final placement overall, which is determined by how many medals each team has won.

I do think that our Monopoly Go forum is a great place to start looking for partners to play this event with, so feel free to introduce yourself there, or even offer a trade as the trading in the forum is pretty active too.

Happy racing!
