How do I finish the floor puzzle in Jessica's Apartment?

How do I finish the floor puzzle in Jessica's Apartment? I turn the arrow the same direction as the planes on the boarding pass and use the code with the ring box. But it just resets to the start

Be really careful not to jiggle the pointer to line it up. It may think you have gone in the wrong direction. Good luck!
