Click on the buttons, a square will appear where you can click inside it to move the buttons into different places. Keep shifting them around until you can make a plus sign. Guest Replied

You need a 9th button from the 'pot' in the first room.You have to use the katana to slash the ropes in room 1 to get the 'stick' to use on the 'pot'. There you'll get the 4th piece of paper with masks and a button.
