Did you socially connect your account, if so you should be able to.
If you are playing as a guest I think you can send ad requests, but then you have to wait for the other person to accept.

I’m playing and I invited my husband. He downloaded and asked me to be his friend, but it never shows that I’m his friend. WhyAdd your answer
