Can't see friends on Orchid Island and we are both on FB?

You both need to allow your game to access your Facebook friend list. This was done when you first installed the game and connected it to Facebook. You can see if the game has access to the list, by going to Facebook, tapping on your FB picture => Settings & privacy => Settings => (In left column) Your activity => Apps & websites => June's Journey => View and edit. It will show if your Friend List is being shared with JJ. If not, then best to contact support through the "help" button to see how to do it correctly.
