What determines how the 15 teams are picked to play against each other in DL in June's Journey?

Teams are randomly grouped according to the Division they are in.

Yet many teams believe their score or ranking from the previous week determines placement. Suggesting otherwise are studies from top teams, who you'd expect would quickly face each other because of their high ribbons, but rarely do they go face to face. Imagine if after week 1, the top 15 teams with mega-high scores would be grouped together and only 3 would promote and 12 super high teams would fail. That never happens.

I've also been noticing that the number of players in a team is probably factored into the equation as well.. it wouldn't be fair if a team only has seven or eight players in it to be grouped with teams that have 11 to 15 players.

Well I could definitely imagine that!! It would only be fair if all of the ME players had to compete against each other. In my opinion, all of the ME players should be in a separate category all by themselves. Then all of the other regular players would have a fair chance of claiming better Rewards.. that would be the fair way to go about it

What about a team that only has 2 or 3 ME players, should the entire team be placed with ME teams or are you suggesting that any teams with any ME players kick them out?
