What does it mean when it says that more expensive bushes give better rewards?

What does it mean when it says that more expensive bushes give better rewards? Does it just mean a better reward when the bushes dug up or does it mean better prizes when you're playing the game?
The receiver of the bush will receive greater benefit:
Green bush, costs you 0-45 coins, gives the receiver 1 diamond.
Blue bush, costs you 135 coins, gives the receiver 3 diamonds.
Red bush, costs you 225 coins, gives the receiver 5 diamonds.
And likewise for specialty bushes:
Easter Flowerbed, costs you 5 diamonds, gives the receiver 150 coins.
Mountain Rose Shrub, costs you 10 diamonds, gives the receiver 400 coins.
