If you create a club, you can invite anyone who is in your bush exchange boat who is not already on a team. Whether they accept is another matter. If you choose to make your team "open" club (instead of by "application), then the game may also give you some random new players. Either way, it is difficult to get good members because there is a surplus of clubs. Better to join another club, particularly an active one that advertises and explains their expectations. You can find lots of ads on the many Facebook JJ groups and even a few at GamersUnite.com.
