Why are my decorations disappearing during construction?

I've had that happen when my game didn't synchronize. When I restarted the game, it set back to a time before purchase. Very annoying. I try not to shut down too quickly after purchase, make sure I don't have the game open on another device, and make sure I have a strong internet connection when I decorate. Still happens now and then.
