What do the numbers next to the eggs mean in the aviary? Example - the starling is 10 and goes up to 18---can't figure it out! Thanks

Those are how many steps are required to hatching. It is also the number of steps to go from hatching to release. Each bar you turn green is one step, so normally if you are able to watch a video ad, you'd complete 2 steps daily. So the Starling will take 10 days total to release. The Goose takes 18.
