In sweep the board, you earn the tickets as you play each scene, which allow you to continue in the next checkpoint. But, if you’re timed out and sent back to the previous checkpoint, how can you earn more tickets to continue? Or is it purchase only? I haven’t received additional tickets at anytime
You can earn tickets by playing regular hidden object scenes. I get about one ticket for every 10 plays or so. There is an option to buy with real money also, by tapping on the "+" next to your ticket count, but I would avoid doing that if possible. The event lasts 3 days, so you should be able to get the free tickets from playing.
