I'm New to the game... Can someone please tell, me if you actually use the paint and other material to build on the the Island, and if so how do you use it to build?

Those building materials will be used to upgrade 3x3 buildings and the 4x4 Estate building. Just tap on any building not fully upgraded, and a pop-up will show you how many materials are needed for the next upgrade.
Building materials also will be used to send Jack's plane on deliveries.

Be careful about sending Jack's plane on deliveries if one of the materials is Paint. We get plenty of Planks, Hammers and Bricks, but not as many Paint. After my second delivery, I ran short of Paint to upgrade my building and had to play for ages until I got enough Paint. That delay in upgrade of a Building greatly hurt my Flower count and Level up. Never again. The rewards are not worth it. Wait until you have fully upgraded your last Building. Until then, just enjoy the sight of Jack's plane on your island. 0 0 REPORT

I look at my inventory before deciding to send the planner out. I generally only do it for flowers, as that's the most needed item, but I try to keep my supplies above 200 for each item when possibleSearch for more answers for June's Journey - Hidden Object or ask your own here.
