I already have five islands but keep receiving compasses which I don't need. What happens to them. why can't I gift them to other team members like bushes?
Also I have so much stored on my ship that it is liable to sink as I have no where else to put them.
You'll need the compasses for the 6th island, coming soon. You should be able to see the outline hidden in the clouds on the map, southeast corner. I'm told it will be bigger than the last 4 islands combined, closer in size to Orchid Island. No estimated date of release, yet, but getting closer.

I don't know if they changed the number of stars since the island first was added, but mine go in increments of 65 stars per plot. What I have noticed, similar to Orchid, is that due to the vast size of the island, several plots are available for upgrade simultaneously, and in increasing star increments. For example, I currently have 4 plots available to open, one is 65 stars, the next 130, then 455, then 520. But it's been open nearly a y
Compasses are required for some HW tasks (up to find 4 compasses so obviously you'll continue to get be it from scenes, various bushes, or events & comps, and who knows if there will be a 7th or even higher island
