If you stored the item, you can re-open storage either by tapping on the storage boat or by pressing and holding anywhere on the island until the arrow fills up. I find it easier to position my island to where I want the item to go, then tap on the item in storage. You can also hold down on the item in storage and drag it to where you want to place it. Be sure you have an open space for it, free of any objects, including glass tiles.
If you sold the item, then you will have to rebuy it.

I am surprised that you were able to sell it. Most prizes cannot be sold. If it's not in your storage ship or on your island, contact customer support through the "help" button in your game settings. Provide your game user ID number that is below the "help" button. They can tell you what happened to it.Ms. Tearius Replied
If it was a prize from a Detective Needed or Fairground Fortune Event, those can be sold. Once sold, there's no getting it back until it returns in another event or a set, probably in a year.Search for more answers for June's Journey - Hidden Object or ask your own here.
