Why am I not able to sell items?

Why am I not able to sell items? When I tap on items I wish to sell, the only options are the red x or to put the items in storage. This didn’t used to be the case.
Certain items, like grand prizes and items purchased with real money, cannot be sold and can only be placed on island(s) or in storage. But ordinary decoration should be sellable for coins. Try exiting and reloading your game. What is it you are try to sell?
Not all items can be sold:
Grand prizes you have earned for completing seasonal sets can only be stored not sold.
The same with decorations given by Wooga to mark special occasions, these too can only be stored not sold.
And of course the 28 coin generating buildings can neither be stored nor sold.
