You don't lose lives in this game. You play until your game energy (lightning bolts) are used up.
Currently game has maximum of 1050 levels, but scenes can only be played up to #970 as of 27 February 2021. Five scenes (1 chapter) are released every Thursday. Maximum level will increase when a new book is released.
