I am encouraged to keep playing when I see other folk’s island (I’ve only made it to 170). Is there a way I can peek at more advanced players’ islands just to see what’s ahead?

Join the Orchid Shores: Island Decorating Group on Facebook. There are loads of screenshots in the album and includes other islands, which you would not be able to visit within the game.
