Why has the global leader board got teams with much more points, when my team has only allowed to start competing a few days ago?

Everyone started at the same time. Teams at the top of the global leaderboard gained a lot of their points from the Spot the Difference competition, so I imagine most or all of their players use the Magic Eye (ME) technique.

In the Spot the Difference competition, each player earned on average 6 League Points per play. At 15 plays per scene and the ability to reach 15 scenes, top ME players can get 1350 points. Theoretically, if each of their players score that much, teams could reach as much as 20,250 League Points. I see that most of the top teams have over 13,000 after the competition.

Additionally players are earning points from completing Help Wanted cases.

I've been playing this game for years, there no way some team can earn 20,000,000 points in 25 minutes. If that is the case please share how the rest of our teams can be that competitive. Is wooga monitoring the competitions? I'm very dissatisfied.

Yes, they are monitoring and they remove teams that use software hacks and bots. At the end of week 1, the highest team has almost 93K league points, not 20M as you claim. If you want to learn ME technique to earn 1M - 4M points in 45 min, there are many tutorials online. Try "How to do Magic Eyes June's Journey" on YouTube. Everyone did not start at the same time. They tried out the Detective League with teams they picked to see how it was going to work back in November. You can find a post about it online. So some teams have been playing longer.

Yes, there was a beta-testing league. But this 7-week league period, everyone started a the same time with points starting at 0. Points from the previous league did not carry over to the current league.

I used to join a team that started the league months before my now new team. My new team started a month ago and we are way far below my previous team. So it is a disadvantage for newer teams that are starting the league.
