You must be a president or an officer. Tap on the club name, "edit" club, tap on the green arrow button to the right of "open", select "application". Tap ok to confirm.

This will change the club, so that an applicant cannot automatically join the club; applicants will appear in the box icon under the member list and await approval from president/officer. Note that if president/officer invite players from their boat list, players will not need approval to join.

Officers should NOT HAVE THE POWER TO OK NEW MEMBERS

Then perhaps you should not have officers. The only powers they have is to accept and remove members.
