Our Christmas Ornaments Community Contest Starts Tomorrow!

Tis the season for gifts and good cheer, Detectives! June has started decorating her Christmas tree, but she needs your help.

We will have three challenges for you throughout the following week and a half. If the whole community comes together to meet the goals, we will reward each participant with prizes and June will hang one of her favorite ornaments on the tree! If the whole tree is decorated at the end, we will send everyone a never-before-seen decoration for your island!

Nope. i am not on Facebook
I am in a club. Does that mean I am excluded? Been playing 2+ yrs, 3/4s of that on my own. Doesn't seem fair.

No, you do not have to be on FB. Read the notice from the in-game mailbox to see that today's challenge (1st of 3) is to gift a bush (gifting one free bush counts!). If we collectively give 2.5 million bushes in 24 hrs (Dec. 8 UTC), we will accomplish the goal. If you want to see if we succeeded, you can check out the progress of FB. Regardless, if we complete all 3 challenges this week, we will all get a holiday decoration prize.

Yes but WHERE is the tree on the island?? There is no hint of where to go or how to add the ornaments. Is this just an image on FB or do we get to actually decorate a tree on the island?

Also, I gifted a bush as the first challenge had asked, and I got a postcard saying the first ornament is the gingerbread family, but no prize... Where can I collect my prize from? Thanks.

The tree is not on the island. It is a tree that June decorates in the video and shown in a postcard in the game mailbox "Day One Christmas Ornament: The Gingerbread Family." If you participated, you should have received a red letter also in the mailbox which comes with 1 compass. That was the completion of Day 1. There are 2 more challenges, at the end of which, those who participated will get a brand new "never-before-seen" decoration.

To be clear, there is NO tree decorating contest. There is a community challenge over 3 events (Dec. 7-16) at the end of which we will a brand new decoration for our island. Those that participate in the community challenges will receive a small reward (1st was one compass). Details are on FB June's Journey app page as well as a story video, but FB is not necessary to participate. No need to be in a JJ club, either.
