What happens when all materials are at 999?

What happens when all materials are at 999? I looks like the game is no longer giving out materials in boxes or as rewards, perhaps giving gold instead, but I have not observed enough to know exactly what is happening. I still can get rares as they are not at 99 yet. I assume as soon as I do the next upgrade, I will start getting materials again.

That is correct, once the materials reach their max, you get other rewards instead, but mostly coins.

But then what happen with HW collect xx materials? Is it becomes It it still rolling that chance or becomes absolute / skipped ? 0 0 REPORT

You can still get that HW task. Best is to keep your materials below 999 by sending Jack on missions frequently, using as many as those materials as you can.
