I couldn't play this game for three weeks and when I came back to play it all of the "friends" I normally..

I couldn't play this game for three weeks and when I came back to play it all of the "friends" I normally gifted plants to were gone and now there are different "friends" I don't recognize and when I send them bushes I don't get any in return. What happened?

I'm just guessing that your game got disconnected from Facebook. When game reconnected, it gave you a new set of anonymous players to play with. Ask customer support and see if there is anything they can. Contact them through the "help" button in the game settings (green gear icon).
